Pattern Overview
Chong-Ren Disharmony is a common pattern in breast hyperplasia, characterized by HPO axis dysfunction, cyclic breast hyperplasia and regression disorder, and sex hormone rhythm disturbance. The core pathogenesis is Chong-Ren meridian dysfunction causing hormonal rhythm disturbance, leading to cyclic breast hyperplasia and regression disorder.
Key Symptoms and Differentiation Points
| Differentiation Dimension | Manifestations |
|---|---|
| Primary Symptoms | Cyclic breast pain and nodules, irregular menstruation, menstrual disorders |
| Associated Symptoms | Back pain, fatigue, dizziness, cold intolerance or hot flashes |
| Tongue and Pulse | Pale red tongue with thin white coating, deep and weak pulse |
| Pathogenesis | Chong-Ren meridian dysfunction causing hormonal rhythm disturbance |
| Etiology | Aging, ovarian dysfunction, chronic stress, irregular menstruation |
Acupuncture Point Prescription
| Point | Location | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Guanyuan (RN4) | 3 cun below the umbilicus | Tonifies Yuan Qi and regulates Chong-Ren |
| Qihai (RN6) | 1.5 cun below the umbilicus | Tonifies Qi and regulates the lower abdomen |
| Shenshu (BL23) | Lower back, 1.5 cun lateral to L2 | Back-Shu point of Kidney meridian; regulates Chong-Ren |
| Sanyinjiao (SP6) | 3 cun above the medial malleolus | Regulates menstruation and harmonizes Chong-Ren |
| Zusanli (ST36) | 3 cun below the patella, 1 finger-width lateral to the tibial crest | Strengthens Spleen and Stomach; tonifies Qi and Blood |
Clinical Recommendation: Filament needle, reinforcing method; moxibustion may be applied to Guanyuan and Shenshu to regulate Chong-Ren.
