Pattern Overview

Bladder Damp-Heat is the most common pattern in acute urinary tract

infections, characterized by **acute bacterial cystitis, burning

urination, frequent urination, urgency, yellow or turbid urine, and

lower abdominal pain. The core pathogenesis is accumulation of

Damp-Heat in the Bladder**, causing bacterial colonization, mucosal

inflammation, and urinary irritation.

Herbal Formula

Base Formula: Ba Zheng San (八正散)

Composition:

Plantago (Che Qian Zi), Akebia (Mu Tong), Polyporus (Zhu Ling), Alisma

(Ze Xie), Rhubarb (Da Huang), Gardenia (Zhi Zi), Licorice (Gan Cao)

Action: Clears Bladder Damp-Heat, promotes diuresis, and relieves

urinary irritation.
