Pattern Overview

Qi-Blood Deficiency is a common pattern in restless leg syndrome (RLS),

characterized by **restless legs at night, fatigue, pale complexion, and

poor sleep. The core pathogenesis is insufficient Qi and Blood to

nourish the leg tendons**, leading to neuronal hyperexcitability,

restless sensations, and involuntary leg movements.

Western Mechanism Reference

Dopamine dysfunction with reduced neurotransmitter synthesis, impaired

corresponds to primary RLS with iron deficiency and dopamine

dysfunction, where impaired iron metabolism and reduced dopamine

synthesis contribute to neuronal hyperexcitability and restless

sensations.
